The recipes at Beauty Bites are healthy, super easy, quick and delicious. They’re that way, because healthy food tastes better to me, I like to keep things very simple and I can’t be patient when I’m hungry. The worst thing you can do to me is make me wait for food. Why don’t you just spill hot tea in my face instead?
My recipes are not necessarily all vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, fat-free, carb-free, protein-free. I hate to think about all the things food needs to be free of these days to be considered healthy or appealing to most people. No dairy, no gluten, no animal products, no grains, no beans…so many restrictions. What happened with us, when did we get so weird?
True: it might be that vegan diet is healthier than omnivore diet, but it’s not just because of the things you take out of it –it’s mostly because of the things you add to it. Diet should be rich in fiber, in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory factors, anti-cancer ingredients, collagen-boosting agents…All those things.
So instead of removing things from your diet – add them to it. Add value to every bite you eat and it will add value to your beauty, your health and your life.
So basically the recipes and tips here are for people with busy schedules, who want to stay healthy and look great without sacrificing their taste buds and normal human needs. That’s the most simple objective way I can put it.
