Here’s a quick healthy green smoothie recipe that is anti-inflammatory and will help you get your vegetables for the day. Plus it’s served in a bowl!
Oh yeah, summer. I’m ready for it.
Obviously I don’t mean I shaved my legs already. Let’s not go crazy. But don’t worry, I’m getting there. Slooooooowwwwly, but surely.
What I mean is fresh food, sunshine, beach, sunburn, pain, red face, messy hair, sand everywhere.

Ahhh living is easy.
I adore summer.
Like one of my biggest regrets in life is not being born during summer.
I mean what can you do in November?
Beside playing the song November rain I can’t think of anything?
As for summer:
Summertime, summer in the city, summer nights….
summer summer summer.
Shut up.
Although, I can’t blame you.
Summer’s awesome.
Almost as awesome as this smoothie bowl.
Which, let’s all agree that smoothie bowls are just weird.
But they’re healthy, so let’s get over it already and count them as a legitimate breakfast for people who don’t eat much.
Or as a super snack for someone like me.
So what do you think, when you look at this smoothie bowl?
Besides that it’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen and that you love the person who made it? (obviously)
Like I know it’s hard, but try thinking about something else for a second, okay?
My first thought when I saw this smoothie bowl a few weeks after taking the pictures of it was: DANDRUFF.
Yep, this healthy green smoothie bowl has dandruff.
Or is it Parmesan cheese?
Hmmm, I guess we’ll never know.
Okay, it’s coconut flakes.
Yes, this was my attempt to arrange a bowl. hahahaahahah
Stop me, little amateur.
I mean, I did well I think.
I first mixed the green smoothie ingredients using my hand blender (this makes it smoother than my blender)
Then chopped almonds and some strawberries and pour that dandruff like it’s nothing.
Sorry, “coconut flakes” (we all know it’s dandruff, silly me, I’ve never used head and shoulders).
I did two versions of this smoothie bowl, but they both made me feel INCREDIBLE.
Both of them are super healthy, with the difference that one is less sweeter, because I mixed in half a banana instead of whole and added some walnuts. So if I had to choose which one is healthier: the winner is – 1/2 banana + walnuts.
But really, both are healthy.
Yes, those are 30 seconds you’ll never get back, sorry.
Health And Beauty Benefits
This smoothie bowl is full of antioxidants (vitamin C, E & carotenoids among others) & good fats, which means it’s a great anti-inflammatory recipe that can help you reduce chronic inflammation, if you’re like me and that’s something you want.
And, annd it’s an awesome summer recipe, because that antioxidant combination has been shown to be very protective against sun damage to the skin. Sun is one of the biggest sources of oxidative stress during summer, so it’s super important to eat even more of those fruits and vegetables all summer long.
This anti-inflammatory green smoothie bowl is also vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and paleo!
Okay.
