This at home workout plan was so much fun for me! It was challenging, but I’m already seeing results – losing fat and getting toned. If you’re looking for a new exercise routine, give this a try – it’s only one week and you can do all workouts at home. This routine includes dance workouts, Pilates, barre, yoga and almost no equipment is needed. And if you like it, keep doing it.

7-Day workout plan to lose weight for women. You can do all exercises at home and don't need any equipment! These exercise routines include Pilates, barre, cardio/dance and yoga routines. #exercise #workout

Building The Habit To Exercise

So I used to hate working out. It made me feel good after, but I hated every second of the actual work part. Naturally, this made me procrastinate the next time I was supposed to do a workout – I’d just say: Aaah, I have so much to do right now, I’ll do it later.

There were three things that helped me make exercise a habit:

  1. doing my workouts in the morning
  2. doing workouts I actually enjoyed
  3. having a workout plan for the week ahead

So if you’re in a rut and can’t make yourself exercise, or find yourself putting it off every single day, try doing these 3 things. Exercise becomes very enjoyable once you’ve already built it into your daily routine. It becomes something you actually look forward to.

The Workout Plan + Benefits

You’ll be doing one “class” per day (I’m sorry, what?) for 25-45 minutes (mostly around 30min though).

For 6 days you’ll be switching between dance and pilates/barre workouts. So one day you burn fat and have fun (dance), the next day you work on toning your muscles and improving your posture (pilates/barre). Then on the 7th day you’ll do yoga.

This plan is not for complete beginners, but I’ve got one for complete beginners here, so make sure to check it out if this one is too challenging for you!

Workout Split:

  • Day 1: Cardio
  • Day 2: Pilates
  • Day 3: Dance Workout
  • Day 4: Barre Workout
  • Day 5: Cardio
  • Day 6: Fast-Paced Pilates
  • Day 7: Yoga Stretching Routine

For this workout plan you’ll need:

  • yoga or workout mat: if don’t have one, you can get a high-quality super affordable yoga mat here.
  • workout clothes that you feel comfortable in
  • around 30 min a day
  • connection to high-speed internet to play Youtube videos for around 30 min a day
  • proper foot wear for the dance workouts

Please consult with your doctor, before starting this or any other exercise regimen!

7-Day Workout Plan To Lose Weight At Home

Monday

Body by Simone Dance Cardio Workout by Sweaty Betty. I have done this several times already and it’s very intense. Not gonna lie, it’s not a classic dance workout, it includes some dance workout moves, but also some arm, butt and abs training too.

Tuesday

Abs-, Butt-, and Arm-Tightening Workout by Popsugar Fitness

Tried this workout for the first time yesterday and it was awesome. At times a little too painful (in a good way), but I stretched afterward and wasn’t sore today.

Wednesday

30 Minutes Latin Dance Workout by Popsugar Fitness

I’ve done this dance workout a couple of times already and I still look like something’s SERIOUSLY wrong with me, but I really enjoy it. It’s high-intensity, but you won’t notice this a lot, because time just flies.

Thursday

16-Minute Barre Upper Body Workout by Barre Fitness

This barre class is just 16-minute long, but it’s such a good arm and upper body workout! Perfect if you want to improve your posture and strengthen your neck and shoulder muscles. I have a slight knee injury, so I had to modify some of the plie moves last time.

Friday

Repeat 2x Burn to the Beat Dance Intervals: Reggaeton Dance Workout by BeFit

This dance workout is intense and a lot of fun.

Saturday

30-Minute Fast-Paced Pilates Workout by Popsugar Fitness

This is a fast-paced pilates workout and it’s VERY challenging in the best way possible. The butt exercises really made me feel weak and sorry for myself. And I cried for a couple of minutes, glad nobody saw. I put this pilates routine intentionally for the end of the week, just before the stretching day.

Sunday

30 Minute Flexibility & Deep Stretch Workout by YogaTX

This yoga stretching routine is a great way to relax and recover, so you can do it all again the next week.
