Yesterday I told you what we should be eating for better skin, hair and nails. But unfortunately a list like that would be incomplete, if I don’t mention which foods you need to avoid in order to protect your skin and your health from damage.

I hate to be that person that tells anyone to not do something, even more to not eat something, because I love eating and I’m really empathetic when it comes to food and diet. I can seriously start to cry when I see somebody being denied a doughnut.

Can't touch this doughnutThat’s cruel.

But a lot of times skin and health problems are caused by the bad foods we eat. That’s why it’s not enough to just add the beauty foods, instead we need to replace the ugly foods with beauty foods. Then we’ll have the maximum benefit of the efforts we put in.

g5081What are ugly foods?

Ugly foods are in short: processed foods. These are the foods that harm your health and your appearance. For example they give you wrinkles, acne, inhibit wound healing or even cause hair loss. If we just eat ugly foods every once in a while, it wouldn’t make much difference to our health or our beauty, but if we consume them regularly this might lead to a disaster a few years or even months from now.

Here’s a little summary of ugly foods:

  • SUGAR
  • REFINED GRAINS
  • ALCOHOL
  • PROCESSED MEATS
  • RED MEAT
  • SALT
  • COFFEE
  • VEGETABLE OILS
  • SODA
  • SKIM MILK AND CHEESE
  • FRIED FOOD

While I was researching about these foods I couldn’t believe all the damage they were doing to my health and to my skin. I could’ve never imagined that sugar causes wrinkles and sagging of the face. Acne – alright, I knew that, but wrinkles?

I can’t go into detail here of how these foods individually affect health and beauty otherwise this won’t be a post, but a novel. So there will be separate post on each of these ugly foods, but to summarize it: all these foods cause dehydration, inflammation, oxidative stress and hormonal imbalance.

wHATBEAUTY PROBLEMS CAUSED BY UGLY FOODS

Imagine the consequences accumulated over years of eating those monstrous foods without even knowing all the damage they do. Here are some of those consequences for skin, hair and nails:

  • wrinkles
  • saggy skin
  • acne
  • eczema
  • poor wound healing
  • dull skin
  • dark circles around the eyes
  • swelling of the face
  • hair loss
  • brittle hair and nails

HEALTH PROBLEMS CAUSED BY UGLY FOODS

And as for serious health problems that affect more than just our appearance in short these ugly foods are often involved in the development of:

  • cancer
  • heart disease
  • arteriosclerosis
  • diabetes
  • various fungal, viral and bacterial infections due to reduced immunity
  • neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer
  • depression
  • obesity

Scary, right?

You see, these ugly foods are not just bad for you because you’ll have a fat belly, acne or cellulite if you eat lots of them. We all have cellulite – it doesn’t hurt. The problem is what these foods cause on the inside. They can destroy your body and your life.

Getting rid of them – one by one is crucial for your health and beauty. Yes, I realize I sound very dramatic.
