7-day barre workout plan to tone, stretch and strengthen your body! This at home workout plan includes full-body barre workout routines, upper body and lower body barre exercises as well as cardio / HIIT barre workouts.

7-Day Barre Workout Plan

It’s Wednesday and a new week, which means time for a new workout plan! This week we’ll do a 7-day barre workout plan, because, well, I kinda really love barre right now.

What It’s About

If you’re new, we’re doing this workout plan as part of a 70-day challenge to keep us motivated, inspired and to help us reach some of the goals at the beginning of the year until July, so that we basically live our best lives, no matter the circumstances. To improve our health and fitness we’re doing a new workout plan every week for the first four weeks. Here are the previous two workout plans, if you need to catch up:

7-day barre workout challenge! Start this one week barre workout plan to be healthier, calmer, stronger and more confident. This plan features lower body barre routines, upper body barre exercises as well as HIIT and full-body barre workouts.

The Barre Workout Plan

We’ll be switching up between cardio or HIIT barre workouts, toning full-body barre workouts and we’ll have days focusing on specific parts of the body.

I must say, I’m feeling so much better since starting the challenge and working out every day, but I don’t see results quite yet. Might be that my diet and eating habits are still all over the place, so that’s slowing me down. Yep, you’ll never get those 20s you spent reading the last two sentences back, sorry.

Sedentary Life For Everyone

So during the last week, I’ve counted my steps using an app on my phone, which by now feels like a vital organ and a best friend to me, and it’s not looking pretty. I think my record was 3000 steps, which as we all know is considered sedentary. Well, who am I to argue. Sedentary means that you sit a lot, right? Most days I sit on a chair, couch, floor or the bed and don’t do much else.

But it’s time for a change and I don’t know about you, but this is what I need right now – a simple workout plan to help me create a routine. Help me make exercising for around 20-30 minutes every day a habit again.

The other thing…Posture. Ugh. I, again, don’t know about you, but I feel like that hunchback is growing on me like in an animated movie. Just Wwwooooop. There it is, it tripled in size. Again. So this plan is also to combat that. Strengthen the core and the neck and walk upright already.

The Challenge

The challenge for this yoga and Pilates workout plan is simple: Move your body every day for 20-30 minutes. We’ll be using yoga and Pilates videos from Youtube to get started.

How & Why Burn Belly Fat

There are many reasons you might want to lose fat around your waist beyond just having abs. Having too much fat around your belly can, for example, increases your risk of getting a heart attack as you get older.

What you need to do if you want to get rid of your muffin top is incorporate a cardio/HIIT component to your ab routine. This will make your body burn more calories and fat overall which will also result in a leaner midsection. Another part, of course, is eating clean.

A while back I had made working out a morning habit I couldn’t start my day without. I would wake up, not even wash my face, put on some workout clothes and shoes and do a workout at home or go out for a run. I LOVED IT. I loved how it made me feel in the very moment (and I never enjoy my late-day workouts).

But I especially loved how it affected the rest of my day and made it WAY better. Just a quick morning workout made me feel more in control of my life, my emotions and my other habits. I felt really awake and alive.

It magically transformed me from a grumpy person who HATES everyone and everything into someone who’s positive, has more energy, is more productive and actually likes mornings.

If you want the same, this is my 30 day morning workout challenge and I hope you join! Morning exercise is the best, really!

Workout Challenge Goals

With this workout challenge I want to:

  • Improve my health (ALWAYS!)
  • Reduce back pain and other aches
  • Get fit & tone up (I’m realizing I actually want to lose only a little bit of weight, and instead get more toned)
  • Get more done during the day
  • Be more positive
  • Develop more discipline in my everyday life
  • Make morning exercise a habit

It’s funny how all those negative feelings and outcomes come & work together, all at the same time. But exercise can change it all, I KNOW IT!

Back On Track & Workout Routine

Can’t believe that I’ll say it, but I think I will not eat pizza for AT LEAST a week. Why? Well, I was on vacation in Italy and I think I grew a second stomach there.

Good news is, now I’m back and getting into my workout routine. And fat-burning HIIT workouts are now a huge part of it because I need to burn off that Italy vacation.

I have a hate/love relationship with high-intensity interval training aka HIIT. Okay, mostly hate.

On the one hand, I hate the whole process, I hate how exhausting and challenging the exercises are.

Then, on the other hand, I LOVE how challenging they are and I love how they make me feel. Like I’m able to do ANYTHING. Strong, fast and when I’m done – so so proud of myself.

Well, I’ve done this workout twice already and will be doing it tomorrow as well (today was a yoga day for me). It’s a full-body routine that not only burns a bunch of fat, even after you stop working but also strengthens your entire body. Core, butt, legs, arms, shoulders – everything is working here, so you make the most out of your time.
